Before you can submit your STARS Record to participating colleges or universities, you’ll need to create a STARS account. Follow these steps to get started:
Steps to Create Your STARS Account
- Go to srar.selfreportedtranscript.com/createaccount.
- Click Create STARS Account.
- Enter the following information:
- First and last name

Email address
Use the same email you used for your college applications—this helps colleges that automatically link your STARS Record based on your email address. The email must be unique to you and not previously used by anyone else (such as a family member or friend) to create a STARS account. -
Student type
Choose whether you are a first-year or transfer applicant. - High school graduation year

Password
Must be 8–20 characters and include letters, numbers, and at least one of these symbols: !, @, #, ?, $, %, *, =
- Click Continue.
- Enter your birth date (MM/DD/YYYY).
- (Optional) Add your:
- Country of residence
- Street address, city, and ZIP/postal code
- State
- Click Complete to finish setting up your account.
🎉 Your STARS account is now ready to use!
Tip: You only need one STARS account, even if you're applying to multiple colleges or universities.
