If you are entering coursework by year on the main STARS website, you may be asked to record your annual academic GPA for each academic year.
What To Do
- Enter the annual academic GPA exactly as it appears on your transcript.
- If your transcript includes both weighted and unweighted GPA, enter the weighted GPA.
- Do not enter your cumulative GPA in this field.
If You Don't Have An Annual GPA:
- If your GPA is not available for a specific year, check the box: “I have not received an annual GPA for this academic year.”
- This is common if you are a high school senior (12th grade) and the academic year is still in progress.

-
Annual Academic GPA is not collected for:
Courses listed under the Middle School section.
International high schools, unless you selected USA / American-Style High School Diploma as your Final Education System.
Some university-branded STARS accounts, based on that school’s preferences.
Tip: Only enter annual GPA for academic years that are complete and reported on your transcript.
