If you need to update a STARS Record that you previously submitted as a first-year applicant, follow these steps:
Accessing Edit Mode
- Log into the main STARS website.
- Click on Record Complete.
- Select Make changes to your STARS Record.
Your record will now be in EDIT mode, allowing you to make updates.
Adding Final Senior Year Grades
If you need to add final senior year grades, make sure your record type is set to Undergraduate Freshman / First Year Applicant. This will give you access to high school information already listed on your record.
Reusing a Freshman Account to Apply as a Transfer Student
If you are applying as a transfer student but previously created an account as a freshman, log into the main STARS website and update your record type to Undergraduate Transfer Applicant. This will enable you to list your college or university and record your college coursework.
Final Step: Re-Submit Your Record
After making your updates, be sure to re-submit your STARS Record and confirm that it is linked to the university requesting the record.
Note: Requirements vary for each college or university. We recommend checking your applicant portal and the "Steps to Applying" page to confirm all requirements.
