Security questions give your STARS account an extra layer of protection. If you ever lose access to your email address, these questions can help you reset your password.
You’ll need to choose and answer three security questions. Your answers are not case-sensitive. You can change your security questions at any time.
To set your security questions:
- Log in to your STARS account.
- Click your name in the upper-right corner, then choose View Profile.
- Under Enhanced Account Security / Recovery Options, find the Security Questions section.
- Click Change Security Questions.
- For each of the three questions:
- Select a question from the dropdown menu.
- Type your answer in the space provided.
- Click Save Security Questions when finished.
Note: All three questions must be answered to save your settings.
To use your security questions to reset your password:
Note: This option is only available if you previously set up your security questions.
- Go to the STARS website and click Forgot Password.
- Enter your first name, last name, and the email address associated with your STARS account.
- Click Try Another Recovery Option.
- Select Answer Security Questions and click Continue.
- Answer your security questions.
- You’ll be prompted to enter a new password.
Tip: Click the eye icon (👁️) to view your answer as you type.
