Edit Mode means your STARS Record is open for editing. You can enter or change your information while in Edit Mode—but your record is not sent or visible to colleges until it is submitted.
How to Submit Your Record
- Go to the Review/Submit screen.
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and click the Submit button.
- If prompted, complete the Electronic Signature by entering:
- The email address you use to log in to STARS
- Your STARS password
- Click Submit.
Tip: After submitting, please keep your record submitted for at least 24 hours to ensure it sends successfully. Always check your application status portal for confirmation that your STARS Record was received. It may take 1–3 days for a college to update your application portal after receiving your STARS Record.
Tip: If you return to Edit Mode to make changes, don’t forget to resubmit so colleges that allow edits can view your updates.
