If you've already submitted your STARS Record but need to make updates or changes, you can place your record back into Edit Mode by following the steps below.
Steps to Edit Your STARS Record
- Log in to STARS.
- Click the Record Complete tab from the top menu.
- Under Action Items, select Make changes to your STARS Record.
Once you're done editing, be sure to re-submit your STARS Record so that universities accepting updates can receive the changes.
Tip: If you’re using a university-branded version of STARS and don’t see the “Make changes” link, contact that school’s Office of Admissions to request permission to edit your STARS Record.

Universities That Require Permission Before Editing
The following schools do not allow direct edits to a submitted STARS Record without first granting permission. Please contact their Office of Admissions for assistance:
- Clemson University
- Kean University
- Louisiana State University
- Pennsylvania State University
- Texas A&M University
- United States Air Force Academy
- University of South Florida
