If you entered coursework under the wrong high school, you can correct this by temporarily adjusting the Dates of Attendance for both schools.
Why This Happens
The STARS system generates academic years (e.g., 09/2023–06/2024) on the Enter Coursework screen based on the dates you entered for each high school on the Enter High Schools screen.
If the academic year you want to edit isn’t appearing, it may be because the school's Dates of Attendance don’t include that year.
How to Fix It
- Go to the Enter High Schools screen.
- Find the school where the course was mistakenly entered.
- Temporarily change the Dates of Attendance for both schools to include all of your years of high school (e.g., 09-2022 to 06-2026)
- Select the school where the courses were listed erroneously and the year under which the courses were listed.
- Click the box next to each course that you want to move and choose Move Selected Courses.
- Move the course(s) to the correct year and school.
- Return to the Enter High Schools screen and correct the Dates of Attendance.
Example
- You attended Madison High School for grades 9 & 10 (09/2022–06/2024).
- You attended Asbury High School for grades 11 & 12 (09/2024–06/2026).
- You mistakenly entered your 11th grade courses under Madison.
- Temporarily change the Dates of Attendance for both schools to 09/2022–06/2026.
- This will allow you to move the 11th grade courses from Madison HS to Asbury HS.
Helpful Tip
Tip: Be sure to correct the Dates of Attendance after you finish editing so your high school timeline is correct.
