Some colleges using STARS have enabled the STARS EasyImport feature in their branded STARS instance.
This tool uses OCR (Optical Character Recognition) and AI (Artificial Intelligence) to help you import information from uploaded transcripts and/or grade reports automatically.
If STARS EasyImport isn't available through a link provided by a participating college or university, you can still try it by logging in to the main STARS website: https://srar.selfreportedtranscript.com/generic.aspx.
There is no advantage or disadvantage to your application whether you use STARS EasyImport or enter your information manually.
Important Notes:
- While the feature performs well and is designed to save time, students are still responsible for reviewing all imported data on the Review/Submit page for completeness and accuracy. We will continue to make improvements based on user feedback and testing, with updates rolling out throughout the cycle.
- If EasyImport still cannot read your document after the second retry, select Enter Courses Manually to return to the Enter Coursework page, where you can easily enter your coursework using your transcript or grade report as a reference.
