If you see a message saying that you have more than one year of in-progress (IP) coursework, it usually means you’ve entered an “IP” grade in the wrong academic year. You can only list “IP” grades under your 12th grade coursework.
Steps to Fix the Error
- Go to the Review/Submit page.
- Carefully check the Grade column for all coursework from 9th through 12th grade.
- Look for any “IP” grades listed under 9th, 10th, or 11th grade.
Tip: Use Ctrl+F (or Command+F on a Mac) to search for "IP" on the Review/Submit page.
- If you find one, go back to the Enter Coursework page and:
- Click on the academic year with the incorrect IP grade.
- Then choose one of these options:
- If you already received a final grade, click Edit, enter the correct grade, and click Save Changes.
- If the course is still in progress, move it to your 12th grade coursework where IP grades are allowed.
- Return to the Review/Submit page to confirm the error message is gone.
