If you forgot your STARS password, follow these steps to reset it:
-
- Go to the Forgot Password recovery page.
- Enter your first name, last name, and email address exactly as they appeared when you first created your account.
Tip: If you see this message: “We could not locate an account in our system with the information you provided. Please try again.” — double-check that you typed your name and email exactly as they were when you created your STARS account. Even small typos can cause this error. If you're sure the information is correct, do not create a new account. Contact STARS Support so we can help locate your original record.
- Click Send Password Reset Email.
- Check your email inbox for a message with the subject line “Your STARS Password”
Alert: The reset link is valid for only 24 hours. If it expires, you’ll need to submit a new request.
- Click the Reset My Password link in the email.
- Create a new password that meets these requirements:
- 8–20 characters long
- Includes letters, numbers, and at least one of these symbols: ! @ # ? $ % * =
- Do not use any other special characters
- Click Submit to save your new password.
Tip: If you can’t access your email or didn’t receive the reset instructions, click Try Another Recovery Option on the Forgot Password page. If you didn’t set up any recovery options, contact STARS support for further assistance.
